Movie Picker Privacy Policy

Movie Picker is an app for finding movies and series to watch, operated by Cyber Apps Inc. This policy explains what data the app handles. Movie Picker has no accounts, and it doesn't ask for your name, email address, location, contacts or photos.

Data sent to our server

To load movie information, the app connects to our server, which runs on Cloudflare. Each request includes:

An install ID: a random identifier created when you first open the app. It contains nothing about you or your phone. We use it to apply usage limits and keep the service running.
App details: the app version, build number and platform (Android or iOS).
What you request: the titles being loaded and any search text you enter.
Your IP address: this is visible to our server and to Cloudflare as part of any internet connection.

We use this data to provide the app, enforce limits, prevent abuse and fix problems. We don't sell it or use it for advertising. The app contains no ads or third-party analytics.

Data stored on your device

Your wishlist, settings and cached movie information are stored on your device. We don't receive your wishlist or settings.

If Android backup is turned on, Android may include this app data in your device's backup to your Google account. That backup is handled by Google and controlled through your device settings.

Service providers

Cloudflare hosts our server and processes requests. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
OMDb supplies movie information. Our server requests titles and searches from OMDb on the app's behalf.

Keeping and deleting data

Server records are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes the data on your device, including the install ID. If you'd like to ask about data linked to your install ID, contact us at the address below.

Children

Movie Picker isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
